A Different Kind of Show Life

It was a natural progression to our first show Pug. We're artists, we appreciate balanced form, and we compete in the equivalent of conformation classes with our sculptures. I see dog showing as an opportunity to take weekend road trips with our Pugs, get our Little Man well socialized, and visit with friends... and help get the word out about our region's rescue, MAPR. There are some beautiful Pugs to be seen at the shows, and behind each Pug is at least one devoted person who has put everything into making it the healthiest, happiest, most mannerly Pug possible.

Little Man's Third Match 9/12-13/09
First & second pointed shows

LM gave his best performance to date on the table (but his handler didn't) on Saturday.

On Sunday, LM was 1st Puppy Dogs 6-9 months and went Reserve Winner's Dog to a mature, filled-out dog. His handler got some tips to improve!

Everyone has to start somewhere. He was second in his class, and a whirlwind of Pug over-exuberance!

A great socialization exercise for puppies is a visit to a convention: plenty of people to meet, wheelchairs to investigate, odors to sniff, and strange costumes to see. Our Man was a model citizen and learned that things that roll are not scary.

Adventure Con, June 2004

Li and Felix Silla. Li weighs 12 lbs and is just the right scale for Felix. He sure wanted to take her home!

Li flopped on her daddy, visiting with Dick Warlock.

Li is not the dog in MIB I and II... though she could be in a movie!

Li with an original from the film, Ed Wood. She wants to know why they cast Chihuahuas instead of pugs.
